Increase ion absorption with vitamin C! @kids.eat.in.color A few tips:⁣🍊 Serve a vitamin C source at every meal and snack. Iron is found in animal foods as well as plant foods. It’s easier to absorb iron through animal products (meat, poultry, fish, etc.). If you combine vitamin C with plant foods, you increase the iron absorption 2-4x!* 🐄 If you serve animal milks (cow, goat, etc.), don’t serve more than 16 oz per day.⁣💊 If your pediatrician says your child has low iron, ask about supplements. It is not usually practical to resolve an iron deficiency with diet alone. ⁣⁣🍎 If you have a picky eater and it’s hard getting them eating fruits and veggies with vitamin C, you might like my free 14-page picky eater guide to help! Comment (or DM) GUIDE24 and I’ll DM it to you!#kidseatincolor ... See MoreSee Less
