We hope you had a restful weekend to recharge for the week! Remember to prioritize your mental and physical health. 💕.Posted @withregram • @selfcareisforeveryone 🙏 Mondays can be tough, especially if it feels like you haven’t had enough time to rest over the weekend. Double tap if you’ve been struggling with protecting time to practice self-care and you’re not feeling fully recharged 😢👉 If you work a demanding job or if life has been asking a lot of you lately, you may feel as though there just isn’t enough time to practice self-care. This is true, but not stopping is not sustainable. Not attending to your needs and not experiencing time off yourself only contributes to burnout, exhaustion, and mental and physical illness. 🥺If there’s one area of self-care that can be challenging it's how to set and protect your personal boundaries that allow for attending to your fundamental needs, including rest. Boundaries are about prioritizing the giving of care to yourself, being mindful of feelings that arise when up against time constraints, and communicating when you are needing space or support.💕 Remember, you are not a machine, nor should you be expected to be as your body was made to rest and recharge. Here are three things to keep in mind and consider to assist you in prioritizing your self-care if you’ve been feeling burnt out lately: 1️⃣ Take a deep breath and check in. Attend to your feelings and reflect on what they may be trying to tell you. Your body may be communicating that you are pushing yourself beyond your limits.2️⃣ Journal to reflect on how you spend your days: What drains my energy the most? Can I shift responsibilities to create more space in my life? Where could I use the most support?3️⃣ Take a full mental health day from work to remind yourself of who you are away from deadlines and other pressures. (This one is especially difficult, so be kind to yourself as feeling of guilt may arise. Consider asking for support to aid in stepping away from your daily routines.)( 🎨 by @sravyaa )#longbeach #longbeachcalifornia #columbiapediatrics #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthmonday #mentalhealthawareness #selfcare ...
